Science Project Updates

We have begun the science experiments. We have been working on formulating a hypothesis based on research and guiding questions. We are also continuing our data collection skills within the experiments. I have attached an item list for the remaining materials. I want to thank all of the materials already donated. I will be uploading pictures of the experiments as they are completed.

The students are gradually completing their Winter Break digital stories. They are being uploaded weekly. Many students are writing fictional stories. This allowing them to explore story elements in their pre-writing outlines. Their character, plot and problem solving narratives are becoming increasingly sophisticated and extremely entertaining.

Library time is every Tuesday. Please have your child bring their books back on Tuesday, if they wish to check out new books.

Digital Storytelling: I am continuing to upload your child’s stories and pictures to my blog and YouTube channel weekly. If you do not want your child’s name or work listed please notify me. This also applies to my webpage postings which include photos of the class. Please subscribe to my YouTube playlist so you can get emails when I upload new movies.

Homework: Home work for this week consists of math and to write about what they would like to learn about arthropods. This will help in formulating guiding questions for our exploration this spring.
